Change Plan Revenue

If a client purchases a plan at one location but primarily attends another, you can now reassign where that plan’s revenue is attributed — directly from the client profile.

💡 Why This Matters

Let’s say someone buys a membership at your downtown studio, but after a few weeks, they start attending classes regularly at your uptown location. Even though they’re showing up uptown, the revenue from their plan is still showing up downtown.

That can make it hard to tell how each of your locations is really performing.

Now, you can fix that by reassigning the revenue from the client’s plan to the location where they’re actually attending.

This gives you:

  • Cleaner, more accurate revenue reporting

  • Better visibility into each location’s performance

  • Flexibility if your clients bounce between studios

How to Change a Plan’s Revenue Location

From the client’s profile:

  1. Head to the client’s profile

  2. Select the three dots on the top right of an active plan

  3. Select Change Plan Location

  4. Choose the location where you want the plan’s revenue to be counted going forward

✅ That’s it! You’ll get a quick popup explaining what’s changing (and what’s not).

Will Change

Won’t Change

Where the plan’s revenue is counted

The client’s home location

What shows on reports for that plan

Where the plan was originally purchased

The location shown on the client’s plan card

Where the client can use the plan

📝 If you want to change their home location too, you’ll need to do that separately from the client profile.

🗓 When Does It Take Effect?

Immediately. As soon as you update the plan, future revenue will show under the new location.

📌 A Few Things to Know

  • You can change the location as many times as you need — even if you’ve already scheduled a future Plan Change.

  • All your business locations will show up in the dropdown, even if the plan doesn’t currently work at that location.

Important: If you refund the plan, even if the client used it at the new location, the refund will still associate to the original purchase location.

🧭 Special Note for Studios with Usage Restrictions

If your settings say:

“Plans can only be used at the location they were purchased at”

…then changing the plan location will also change where the client can use the plan going forward.

Example:

  • A client buys a plan at Studio A.

  • You switch the plan’s location to Studio B.

  • Now, the client can only use the plan at Studio B (not A).

🧪 What About Reports?

📍 Active Plan Report

  • Shows the current location tied to each plan.

  • It won’t show the original purchase location — just what’s live right now.

📈 Plan Gain/Loss Report

If a plan changes locations between months, it will now be counted as:

  • A transfer out for the old location

  • A transfer in for the new location

A transfer out for the old location

A transfer in for the new location

This helps keep your monthly plan activity clean, especially when you’re viewing reports by location.

If you’re viewing All Locations, transfers cancel each other out
If you’re viewing a single location, transfers count as gains or losses

These location-based transfers only apply to returning plans — new or expired plans behave the same as before.

🔁 Example

Let’s say you have two studios: Downtown and Uptown

  1. A client buys a plan at Downtown in April.

  2. In May, you change their plan location to Uptown.

  3. In your reports:

    • Downtown will show a transfer out

    • Uptown will show a transfer in
