Click-to-Cancel FAQ | Walla Support Center
Walla's Click-to-Cancel feature enables members to initiate cancellations online via the widget.
This feature notifies studios of submissions and maintains records in the dashboard. It does not automatically process cancellations or override existing studio policies and agreements, nor does it guarantee complete compliance with any regulations, as studios remain responsible for ensuring their overall practices meet any requirements.
What does Walla's Click-to-Cancel feature do?
Allows members to submit a cancellation online through the widget. Submissions are tracked and an email is sent to management. Staff can then review submissions against existing policies. Studios are responsible for processing submissions and ensuring compliance with any applicable laws.
How do I choose which plans allow cancellation submissions?
In Plans → Description & Availability, simply check or uncheck Request Cancel Online for each plan. This lets you enable or disable the feature on a per-plan basis.
What happens when a member submits a cancellation?
Their submission triggers an alert on the Requests to Cancel tile on your Dashboard, with full details available in the Plan Cancelation Requests report (Report Center → Plans). A notification email is also sent to your designated staff roles. All approval and processing steps remain under your control.
Will memberships be canceled automatically?
No. The system does not automatically process cancellations, issue refunds, or override any existing agreements. You will need to review and approve submissions before taking action.
When activated, Walla provides your members with an online cancellation experience through the same channels used to purchase a membership. When a member clicks "Cancel Plan," Walla immediately records the cancellation and notifies the studio. Because membership agreements and applicable laws vary, Walla does not automatically determine the effective cancellation date or modify the membership on the studio's behalf. The studio is responsible for promptly processing the cancellation in accordance with its membership agreement and applicable law. Failure to timely process a cancellation may result in a member experience that is inconsistent with applicable law.
Who gets the notification email?
By default, Location Managers (and Business Managers, if assigned that role) receive the notification. In a franchise setup, only the Location Manager is notified.
How can I change who receives notifications?
- In the Dashboard, find the Requests to Cancel tile (under Alerts)
- Click the
gear icon - Select which staff roles should receive the emails
Can I customize the email my member sees?
Yes. Navigate to Business Settings → Transactional Notifications, find Plans: Sent when a plan is cancel requested, and edit the subject line and body as needed.
What if a member hasn't fulfilled their commitment period?
You decide how to handle early cancellations or outstanding fees. Process each submission in line with your membership agreement and studio cancellation policies.
Where can members submit a cancellation?
Members can submit their cancellations through the embedded widget on your website.
