Create a Course

A step by step on how to create a video on demand VOD course

This guide will walk you through the process of creating and setting up your own VOD course, allowing you to share your expertise with a wider audience and create a new revenue stream for your business.

Step 1: Add Videos

  1. From the Main Navigation Menu select Video Library

  2. Choose Add New Video

  3. Enter the Video Name (This video name must be unique)

  4. Upload your video

  5. Choose Add Details

Step 2: Add Video Details

  1. Add the Name Display Date

  2. Select the video Category

  3. Duration (Video duration will be auto-set by the length of the selected video)

  4. Set the Instructor

  5. Add a Description

  6. Set optional details: Level of Difficulty (optional): Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Equipment needed (optional), and Suggested playlist URL (optional)

  7. Add a Cover Image

  8. Save

Add the Name Display Date

Select the video Category

Duration (Video duration will be auto-set by the length of the selected video)

Set the Instructor

Add a Description

Set optional details: Level of Difficulty (optional): Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Equipment needed (optional), and Suggested playlist URL (optional)

Add a Cover Image

Save

Repeat Step two and upload all videos you will use in your Course. You must upload them individually, you can not bulk upload VOD videos.

Step 3: Set Up Course Details

  1. From the Main Navigation Menu select Courses

  2. Choose Add new course

  3. Enter course details

Enter course details

Course Name: Enter the title of your course. Choose a clear, descriptive name that accurately represents the content.

Description: Provide a brief overview of your course. Highlight key topics, benefits, and what participants can expect to learn.

Staff: List the instructors or key personnel involved in creating and delivering the course.

Categories: Select relevant categories for your course. This helps in organizing and making your course discoverable.

Step 4: Configure Payment Options

  1. Set restriction settings for new clients to restrict purchase for new clients only

  2. Set up your pricing structure
    ​
    ​Member: Price for members of your studio or organization.
    ​Non-member: Price for non-members.
    ​Max Number of Payments Allowed: If offering a payment plan, specify the maximum number of installments.
    ​

  3. Set Access Duration
    ​
    ​Unlimited: Clients can access videos indefinitely.
    ​Time from Purchase: Set a specific duration (hours, days, or weeks) from the purchase date.
    ​Set Date: Choose a fixed end date for access.
    ​

  4. Set Purchase Availability to define the timeframe during which the course can be purchased:
    ​
    ​Available for Purchase Starting: Set the date when the course becomes available.
    ​Last Date Available for Purchase: Optionally, set an end date for purchases.
    ​

  5. Save

Step 5: Choose and Sort Videos

  1. Check the box next to all videos you want to use in your series

  2. Choose Add videos

  3. Save

  1. Upload a cover image

  2. Review uploaded videos

  3. Choose Finish and Save Course
