How to Initiate Your Stripe Transfer

If you're currently using Stripe for payment processing, here is how you can initiate your transfer

If you need to securely move customer data from one Stripe account to another in your migration to Walla. Stripe makes this process simple and secure with their Copy Customers feature and send to your new Walla Stripe account.

Below is a step-by-step guide to sharing customer records between accounts:


1. Log into your Stripe Dashboard

Go to dashboard.stripe.com and sign in with the account you want to copy customers from.


2. Navigate to the Customers Page

From the left-hand menu, select Customers. At the top of the page, you’ll see the option to Copy customers.


3. Choose Copy Method

In the Copy Method field, select Copy all customers. This will ensure the complete list of customer records is included.

If you wish to migrate a partial list of your customer credit cards, you can send a partial copy by uploading a CSV that includes the clients Stripe IDs of the subset of customers you wish to copy over.


4. Enter the Recipient Account ID

Enter the account ID (in the format acct_xxxx) of the Stripe account you want to share the data with, then click Continue.

  • If this is the first time you’re sharing customers with this recipient, you’ll be notified that the recipient must authorize your request before the copy begins.


5. Confirm the Copy

Click Confirm to proceed.


6. Monitor the Request

After confirmation, you’ll see a pending copy request displayed at the top of your Customers page. Once the recipient authorizes, Stripe will begin securely copying the customer data.

Tip: Customer data is only shared once the recipient authorizes the request. This ensures both accounts maintain full security and control over data transfers.
