  • Tap, Apple Pay, and Google Pay can only be used for non-recurring purchases through the Stripe Terminal.

Recurring plans require a card on file. Since Apple Pay and Google Pay transactions cannot store cards, they cannot be used to purchase recurring plans.

Can cards be stored using Apple Pay or Google Pay on the terminal?

No.

I am having issues with Tap To Pay, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. What can I do to fix this?

Do not choose use New Card

When checking out a client "Read Card Terminal" must be selected. The “Use New Card” option does not support Tap, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The client must have a physical card and insert or swipe the card if "Use New Card" is selected.

Non-recurring plans only

Also the option for Tap, Apple Pay or Google Pay wont be an option when selling new recurring plans in the studio. Note that "Tap" will appear as an option on the terminal screen when it is available.
