Customize the logic by selecting one of three balance types:
Balance on Account is:
Any amount, positive or negative
Captures any non-zero balance—whether the client owes the studio or has credit on file.Studio owes contact
Contact has a positive balance (credit on file with your studio).Contact owes studio
Contact has a negative balance (they owe the studio).
When selected, you can specify an amount:
“Owes you more than:” Set a minimum threshold (e.g., only show clients who owe more than $25.00).

Contact Owes Studio Over a Certain Amount
Use this setup to trigger payment reminder emails or texts to clients who owe you money.
How it works:
The condition finds any contact with a negative balance greater than the amount you enter (e.g., $25.00).
When it sends:
Triggers within two hours of the client meeting the condition, or immediately for existing matches when automation is turned on.
SMS will send after Do Not Disturb hours if triggered outside the allowed window.
Example:
Send a gentle nudge to any client who owes more than $10, prompting them to clear their balance before their next class.
Studio Owes Contact
Help clients use available credit or alert them to a balance they forgot about.
Example:
Send a message to clients with a positive balance reminding them to apply it to their next class, plan, or retail purchase.
Any Non-Zero Balance
Useful for general audits or to clean up old balances, this setup finds any client with either a positive or negative balance on file.
Example:
Send a summary of account activity to clients who have any outstanding credit or balance on their account—encouraging action or closing the loop.
