From configuring Instructor Pay & Bonus Settings to defining Payroll Schedules and managing Timeclock Edits, learn how to efficiently customize essential settings for your business needs.

Access Payroll Settings

To access the payroll settings, follow these steps:

  1. Click on your profile avatar in the upper right-hand corner.

  2. Select "Business Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Scroll down to find "Payroll Settings" under the "Global Settings" section on the right-hand side.

In Payroll Settings, you'll find various options to configure.

Instructor Pay & Bonus Settings

What Counts Towards Headcount? You have the option to determine whether certain elements count towards headcount bonus calculations for instructors.

Comp Passes

Choose whether comp passes always count or do not count towards headcount. Comp passes are the Comp Passes issued directly to a client. Comp passes are not plans that are discounted, they are always the specific passes called Comp Passes.

Guest Passes

Similar to comp passes, you can decide whether guest passes always count or do not count towards headcount bonuses.

Plans and Drop-ins priced at $0

This applies to plans created under plan management that are priced at $0.00 or class drop-ins or appointments with Standard Pricing of $0.00.

This setting does not apply anything discounted 100% at checkout, be it by applying a promo code or manually applying a discount. Payment methods created with a monetary value, then discounted at checkout will always count towards headcount.

Intro Offers

It's important to note that intro offers always count towards headcount.

Livestream Attendees

Decide whether livestream attendees always count or do not count towards headcount.

Instructor Bonuses

Decide if instructor bonuses are paid for who are paid but not checked in or if bonuses are awarded for clients who are paid and checked in or paid but not checked in. This setting applies to no-shows only. This setting does not apply to late cancelations or early cancelations.

Payroll Schedule

When pulling payroll you have the option to customize your selected date range. This setting here sets the default standard for the date ranges displayed under Payroll. This can only be edited by Walla Support.

Frequency

Specify how often you'll pay your staff. Start Date: Clearly define when you want to begin recording payroll.

Time Clock Edits

Allow or disallow staff to edit their timeclocks before payroll is processed.

FAQ

Is there a setting to allow or not allow appointment late cancellations or no-shows to count towards headcount?

Any appointment late cancelations and no-shows do not count towards headcount and will not be included in payroll. Currently, there is not a setting to allow no-shows and/or late cancelations to count towards appointments on payroll.

Does Walla offer a complete payroll service?

Our system doesn't process payroll on your behalf. We provide a payroll report for you to use with your own payroll software.
