If requested, Walla will send you a Stripe terminal to connect with your Walla account to accept payments in-studio. Once you receive the terminal, you'll want to follow the steps below to connect to your Stripe account.
Pair your terminal
Install terminal batteries and connect to charge to the wall outlet using an AC adapter or to the computer using the USB port
Note: it takes significant force to open the battery door on the terminalGo to Business Settings > Terminals
Click on Register a Terminal
If you have more than one location within Walla, you will want to choose which location you are pairing to the terminal in the ‘select the location' field, If you only have one location, please move on to the next step.
Name the device by typing in the location name
Connect your terminal to your wifi network. You must connect to the same wifi as the studio computer or tablet.
Instructions on how to connect your terminal to wifi here.
Once connected, the terminal will apply initial updates and a three-word pairing code will appear on the screen
If the three-word pairing code does not appear on the screen, swipe right from the left edge of the reader screen to reveal a Settings button. Tap the Settings button and enter the admin PIN 07139
Enter the pairing code in the field titled 'Enter the pairing code'
Once paired, the terminal will apply additional updates and then display a rainbow screen with "Stripe". Now the terminal is ready for use!
Process a Transaction
To use the terminal at checkout, follow the steps below to process a sale and use the terminal:
Select "Buy" at the upper right hand side of the Walla dashboard and select client and location
Fill out necessary details for purchase
Select "UseTerminal" and scroll to select the green "Collect Payment"
The purchase amount will appear on the screen and the customer can complete the sale using their card
Why the terminal's status under Business Settings does impact the terminals functionality
The terminal’s status will say not connected under Business Settings, and that is okay. The terminal connects to Walla when you select Use New Card and choose Read Card from Terminal on the checkout page. The terminal’s status will say connected under Business Settings after selecting Read Card from Terminal and completing the transaction. Once the transaction is complete the terminal status under Business Settings will go back to not connected after the transaction is complete. In other words, do not worry about if the terminal’s status says Not Connected in either of the two following places fond under Business Settings.
