Walla Tasks FAQ
Updated over 8 months ago

Walla's Tasks feature simplifies your to-do list management by offering an integrated, virtual task management system. With the ability to create and assign tasks to your studio staff, you can streamline internal processes and keep everyone on the same page.

Accessing the Tasks Menu

  1. To access Tasks, click on your profile picture located in the top right corner of Walla.

  2. From the dropdown menu, select Tasks. This action opens a convenient slide-in panel.

  3. Select one of the two submenus for tasks Created by Me or tasks Assigned to Me

Creating a Task

  1. By default, the Tasks panel will display tasks created by you.

  2. To create a new task, click the Add a task button.

  3. You can enter the following task details:

    • Title: Provide a descriptive title for your task.

    • Description: Include additional details or context for the task.

    • Assign the task to:

      • Me, it’s a reminder!: Use this option to create a task as a personal reminder. It will appear on your assigned tasks board.

    • Location: If your studio has multiple locations, you can select the relevant one. It defaults to the single location if applicable.

    • Role: Choose from roles like Business Manager, Location Manager, Instructor, or Front Desk. You can select multiple assignees within these roles (e.g., all Business Managers at Location 2).

    • Specific people: Handpick staff members for task assignment, with the flexibility to select multiple individuals (no limit)

    • Task Completion Criteria: If a task is assigned to more than one person, you must specify how it will be considered completed:

      • When completed by all people assigned to.

      • When completed by anyone it’s assigned to and marked as completed.

    • Provide a link to:

      • Nothing: Select this option if no additional links are needed.

      • Audience: Link to an existing audience (cannot create a new one from this view). The audience will appear in the task.

      • Contact: Link to a specific client, and their name/profile link will be visible in the task description. For example, "Reach out to new client Katie Ross about the introductory plan."

  • Due date and time (optional): Set a due date and time relative to your business's timezone.

Task Assignment

Once you've filled out the task details, save it. The task will be automatically assigned to the selected staff member(s).

The assignee will see a number appear (or increase) in their avatar located in the top right corner of the product.

The task will be sent to all active staff members at the time of creation.
