Widget Booking Experience
A few important notes on Appointments Widget booking experience.
Rooms
Rooms are checked for availability before a booking is allowed. The front desk can override availability but the rules are enforced for online bookings by clients (app and widget).
Important notes for online bookings by clients: If only one room is provided on appointment setup, that room will be auto-assigned to the appointment if available.
If more than one room is provided, the rooms will be checked to ensure at least one is available (and if none available, the booking will not be allowed), however rooms will NOT be auto-assigned and will need to be assigned by the front desk. It's therefore important to assign rooms ASAP to avoid double-bookings.
Limitations:
Clients cannot book appointments for other clients or pay for another client’s appointment.
Clients cannot book recurring appointments.
How Clients Book an Appointment
If you have appointments setup at multiple locations, the client must first select a location.
Next, they will book their appointment either by selecting Find by Service, which forgoes a staff selection and prioritizes the first available provider, or Find by Staff.
Next, click choose an appointment category, type of appointment, and date/time (reflected in the studio's time zone).
Clients can then view their appointment details and choose their payment method prior to completing their booking. The checkout review displays the appointment details, including the appointment price, tax, and the required deposit amount if applicable.
Note: if a deposit is required, please be sure this has been entered in your Business Settings > Appointment Settings.
Plan or Credit Selection
If a client's existing plan is not available upon booking checkout, it could mean their plan does not cover the selected appointment or that the plan's start date is after the appointment date.
Payment Methods
Clients may use an existing plan or credits.
They can also buy a Drop-In with their credit card or mobile wallet.
In addition, clients can use their account credit or a gift card towards the deposit. Promo codes can be applied to plan purchases but not during appointment checkout.
After booking, clients will see a confirmation page with their appointment details. After booking, your client will be presented with an appointment purchase confirmation page that includes their appointment details and an option to Add To Calendar, View My Schedule, or Book Another Appointment.
Appointment Packs
When a client purchases an appointment pack, visits still need to be booked and subsequently settled (checked out).
For example, if a client purchases a 3-pack and books one appointment, the pack will show 3/3 remaining until all appointments are booked. Once the final appointment is booked, the pack will become inactive.
