Clients can update their email address via the widget. The change will sync across all connected businesses & staff profiles if applicable.

Update a Client's Email Address

Clients can update their email address directly through any widget on your website.

Client email addresses can be updated via the widget only. Emails can not be updated via the Walla App, Branded App, or by staff.

Clients can change their email address by following these steps:

  1. Log in to any widget

  2. Select the Manage Account menu on the top right

  3. Select Profile Info

  4. Select Change next to the email field

  5. Enter the new email address

  6. Enter the new email address into the second field to confirm

  7. Enter existing password

  8. Choose Update

Updating a client email will automatically update across all connected businesses that use Walla. If login credentials are saved on any devices, they will need to be updated with the saved email address on each device to match the new email.

Update a Staff Email Address

Staff emails can not be updated directly through their staff profile. However, if a staff member has a client profile created staff can update their client account email address that is also used under their staff profile and the email address update made will also update their staff profile personal email address to the new email address. The process automatically updates both their client and staff profiles.

A staff member must have a client profile created in order to update their staff email address. Both the client profile and staff profile emails must match before starting the below steps.

Follow these steps to use the update client email widget tool to subsequently update a staff profile email.

  1. Log in to any widget using the client login created that uses the same email address as is the staff profile email that is using the email you are wanting to update

  2. Select the Manage Account menu on the top right

  3. Select Profile Info

  4. Select Change next to the email field

  5. Enter the new email address

  6. Enter the new email address into the second field to confirm

  7. Enter existing password

  8. Choose Update

  9. The system will automatically update your staff profile email for any businesses where you're registered as staff

FAQ

What if the email address is already in use under a different Walla client profile?

If the new email address is already associated with another profile, you'll receive an error message and will not be able to use that email address.
