Using announcements makes sure your clients know what is going on at your studio. It's the perfect place to promote all your events, new classes, new teachers, and more! App announcements are published on both the Walla App and Branded App.
Create an App Announcement
Follow these steps to create an app announcement:
From the Main Navigation select Sales & Mktg Center
Choose App Announcements
Select + Create an Announcement
Complete the fields under the Add NewAnnouncement page:
Title: What clients will see at the top of the announcement tile.
Author: Select a staff member's name to display as the author. Or, leave the drop-down blank to display your business name.
Franchise (optional): If you are a franchise site you will have the option to select a Franchise
Location: Choose a location to display an app announcement to only clients who have a the specified home location. The client list is defined by the Franchise or Location set here. A client will only receive notifications if the location selected is their home location.
Publish date: Date your announcement will be published in the app.
Expiration date: Date your announcement will be removed from the app. Create app announcements here, then schedule them for a later date. You can always extend the expiration date later.
Image: Image that displays on your announcement tile.
Short description: One sentence description located below the announcement photo.
Body: Text body appears after tapping Read More on the main announcement tile. This are the announcement details!
Button text: Your clients call to action. Make this pop..make this compelling..you really want your clients to take action from this!

Schedule: Select a specific day on the schedule you'd like your client to be taken to
Class: Select a specific class on the schedule you'd like your clients to be taken to
Plan: Select a plan you'd like your clients to be taken to
Custom URL: Direct clients to a specific URL
Select Review to review your Announcement, then select Save
Your announcement can now be found under Active App Announcements. You can select the Edit icon to edit your announcement at any time.
Troubleshooting Announcement Visibility
If your announcements are not visible as expected: 1. Location-Specific Targeting:
Announcements are shown to clients based on their home location. Ensure the client profile is set to the correct target location.
2. User Settings for Multiple Studios:
If users need access to multiple studio locations, ensure their user profiles have the appropriate settings enabled.

Change App Announcement Sort Order
By default, announcements are displayed on your client's home page in the order they were created. However, you may want to change the order of announcements to highlight the most important ones or to group similar announcements together.
Remember, the location-specific targeting of announcements can influence their display order. Make sure to review settings if announcements are not appearing in the intended sequence.
Once you are in the announcement section, you will notice that each announcement has a handle on the left side. This handle looks like three horizontal lines stacked on top of each other. To change the sort order, simply click and hold on the handle of the announcement you want to move, and drag it to the desired position.
