How to Add a Class Schedule

This article will help you easily add a new schedule to an existing class.

Updated over 12 months ago

This article focuses on how to schedule instances of class types that have already been created in your Walla site. For example, if you want to add a Tuesdays at 5pm to your existing Spin class schedule. By the end of this article you will know how to add new occurrences of a class to your existing class schedule.

Before You Start

It's important to note that this process does not cover creating new class types. We assume you have already set up your class types (e.g., Vinyasa, Hatha, Power Yoga) in the system.

Add a Class Schedule

Start from the Class Management Schedule found under Manage Services and Plans. From the main navigation menu select Classes. Then, choose your location from the drop-down, select Go, and choose the Schedule tab.

Follow these steps to add a new class time to your existing class schedule:

  1. Starting from the schedule under Class Management, select Add to Schedule

  2. Enter the date the class starts and class start time

  3. Set the repeat cadence by choosing if the class repeats weekly, once a month on a specific day, or if the class only happens once. If your class repeats, choose an end date or do not select an end date

  4. Select the days of the week the class occurs

  5. Enter the duration, in minutes

  6. Select in-studio and/or livestream

  7. Choose if your class has a drop-in price. If your class does not have a drop-in price, choose No thank you

  8. Select if your drop-in pricing for members and non-members is going to be defined in credits or dollars

    Member booking
If a member has a plan that is set up to pay for the class, the default option when booking will always be to use their active plan and the member pricing will be a secondary option.

Do not price drop-ins at $0
Setting a $0 drop-in price makes the class free for members and/or non-members. Members can still use their plans for classes with prices above $0, as plan usage is based on class-to-plan relationships, not the drop-in price. Always set a price above $0 unless you intend to offer a free class.

  9. Select the room the class occurs in or if the class occurs at a specific address, choose custom address.

    Choosing a custom address
When custom address is chosen, additional text fields will appear, allowing you to enter then choose an address from the drop-down. You must choose a generated Google address from the drop-down.

  10. Enter how many in-person spots are available and how many in-person spots can be booked online

  11. Assign an instructor and a pay rate for the class.

    Additional instructors and payroll
You can add additional instructors to the class but only the primary instructor's pay will be calculated on payroll. The additional instructor(s) pay will not be calculated but, will be included in the class listing for client visibility.

  12. Select if you want the class to be visible to the public

  13. Select Continue

Copy and Edit Class Schedules

You can copy and edit schedules as many times as needed to quickly build out weeks of classes with different days, times, and details.

  1. Select the copy icon to copy the schedule

  2. Next to the copied schedule select the edit pencil

  3. Here you can adjust details such as the time, day of week, and all other class details

  4. Choose Continue

  5. Repeat and edit each copied schedule then select Submit
