Call Forwarding

Hello...is it seamless client communication you are looking for? Look no further than our call forwarding feature!

Call Forwarding a Walla add on feature that lets your clients call the Walla number assigned to your locations. Now, when a clients calls the number they receive SMS messages from, we'll forward it straight to your chosen phone number.

Requirements Checklist

βœ”οΈ The two-way texting Inbox feature is already added on to your Walla subscription

βœ”οΈ Each of your locations is assigned a unique phone number and they do not share a phone number

Permissions Required

To allow staff the ability to enable this feature, the staff member must have edit access to Inbox Settings: Call Forwarding and SMS Alerts: Access to setup call forwarding. By default, Location Managers and above can edit this feature and this permission can be customized as needed.

Getting Started

To set up unique numbers for each of your locations and add this feature, please contact [email protected].

Enable Call Forwarding

Follow these steps to enable the call forwarding feature:

  1. From the main navigation menu select Inbox

  2. Choose Inbox Settings

  3. Select Allow incoming calls

  4. View the popup with feature details and associated costs

  5. Accept the terms to enable the feature

  6. Enter the phone number where you want calls to be forwarded.

  7. Save

Add On Feature Cost and Billing

Now, let's talk numbers for the call forwarding feature. Here's what you can expect cost wise when you add this feature and supercharge your features:

Cost

The service costs $10 per month per line for up to four weeks. This includes 4 hours of calls and any overages are charged at $3 per hour.

Billing

Franchise

The fee and overages are charged to the corporate account. When enabled or disabled, a notification email goes to corporate and CCs the franchise owner for that location.

Disable Call Forwarding

Follow these steps to disable the call forwarding feature:

  1. From the main navigation menu select Inbox

  2. Choose Inbox Settings

  3. Uncheck Allow incoming calls

  4. View the popup with feature details and associated costs

  5. Accept the terms to enable the feature

  6. Enter the phone number where you want calls to be forwarded.

  7. Save

Add Phone Numbers to Forward

Follow these steps to add location phone numbers that will forward to the specified number.

  1. From the main navigation menu select Inbox

  2. Choose Inbox Settings

  3. Select a location frm the drop down

Communicate the Feature to Your Clients

To ensure the successful implementation of your new call forwarding capability, we recommend announcing this capability to your clients/ Here's a guide to help you effectively integrate this feature across your business:

Website

  • Update your Contact Us page with information about call forwarding

  • Consider adding a notification about this new contact method on your homepage

SMS Notifications

  • Update automated SMS messages to include the option to call directly

  • Consider informing existing clients about this new feature via a targeted SMS campaign

Social Media

  • Announce the ability to call the number texts messages are sent from

FAQ

Are international phone numbers supported for call forwarding?

International phone numbers are not supported for call forwarding.

What if the client has never received a text message from any of our Walla phone numbers?

This feature works for anyone calling the assigned location phone number, even if they haven't received a text message first.
